Canine Distemper
A rabies titer test is performed to check if your pet’s rabies vaccination has been successful. A titer test measures the level of antibodies in the submitted blood sample. The level of antibodies present in the sample must be at least 0.5 IU/ml for your pet to travel to Dubai. The sample for the test should only be taken a minimum 3 weeks/21 days after their vaccination. This sample should be tested at least 3-12 months before the date of departure.
To enter Dubai from a foreign country, you will need an import permit. This permit is valid for 30 days. You will also need an international health certificate and a U.A.E veterinary health certificate. These must be attested by the relevant authorities in the country of origin. Your pet can only travel to Dubai as a part of the manifest cargo.
Dubai has legislation in place for the import of breeds considered to be strong or dangerous. The following dog breeds are banned in Dubai and cannot be imported to the country: American Bully, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Argentinian Mastiff (Dogo Argentino), Brazilian Mastiff (Fila Brasileiro), Doberman Pinscher, Japanese Tosa, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Wolf hybrids, hybrids of one or more of any of these breeds.
