BluSmart Launches Pet-Friendly Taxi Services in Delhi & Gurugram

NCR: in a bid to make travelling with pets easier, EV ride hailing service giant BluSmart launched its pet-inclusive cab services on Friday, 21 February. 

Knows for its fleet of electric vehicles, the service will be available in Delhi and Gurugram, with cars being equipped with facilities for pet parents travelling with their pets. Pet parents can pre-book their ride for either scheduled classic or rental trips. 

BluSmart also said its cabs will be cleaned after each trip, and that cabs will be fitted with foldable dog seat hammocks for a pet’s comfort and crate space, adopting a similar approach to their passenger commute.

The newly launched ‘Pet Rides’ service is a testament to our commitment to provide inclusive and convenient transportation solutions tailored to our riders’ needs,” said Anirudh Arun, Co-founder and CEO of BluSmart Fleet.

“We understand the challenges pet parents face when it comes to travelling with their companions, and we’re thrilled to offer a service that makes these journeys safe and enjoyable for all,” Arun added.

BluSmart’s foray into the pet travel sector comes a few months after Uber and Rapido each announced a similar service in Bengaluru. Uber has incorporated the pet-friendly cabs into their fleet, and Rapido offers pet-friendly auto rides for pet parents in the city. 

BluSmart was founded in 2019 and operates in Delhi, Bengaluru, and more recently, Mumbai. It also operates internationally in the UAE, offering customers an all-electric limousine service.
