Zenit St Petersburg’s Voiced for Dog Adoption

How about if we tell you that in a part of this world, footballers are coming down on the field with puppies cuddled in their arms!

FC Zenit St Petersburg’s football players put on an adorable show for their new campaign which pitches at finding a new home for the homeless puppies who otherwise live at a local shelters in Russia. It was mesmerizing to witness the players walk down the field with pooches in their arms.

The photos and videos from the same have been doing a round amongst football as well as pet lovers.

It is not the first time that football players have supported such a cause. In the past too, the foundation has worked towards getting such pups adopted in order to find their forever loving home.

Zenit in association with the Russian Kynological Foundation launched this community project with 11 crannies of distinctive breeds accompanied with football players were introduced to the spectators through their television screens.

The motive throughout remained to encourage people to adopt the shelter animals and take them to a cozy home.

After the successful show, Zenit wrote: “Now let’s find homes for these good boys and girls.” It further read: “The aim of the project is to highlight to the public the responsibility and care required when having a pet and to help raise funds for local dog shelters.”
